“I’ll say hey. You’ll say baby, how’s your day?…

.. I’ll say crazy.”

Loving You Tonight by Andrew Allen

It’s currently 2:43 am right now. I can’t sleep and I’m freezing right now because the drinks I had tonight are beginning to wear off. So I’m going to blog about my day while I’m snuggled up in this cute fleece blanket my mom bought me.

Love and I went to go see Dia Frampton today. We weren’t planning to but when I joked about seeing her today, Love insisted that we go. So we did, but it turns out that he had class in Center City and it didn’t end till 8 (when the venue’s door open -_-). We decided to give it a shot anyways. He went to class while I planned our SEPTA trip to West Chester, ordered tickets, bought food and tokens. After an hour and a half of public transportation and running around, we arrive at the venue just as the opening act, Andrew Allen, was beginning his set. Great timing. Great venue too. Nice and intimate, not what I was expecting at all.

Dia Frampton is fantastic live and the fact that this show was acoustic makes it even better. After her set, Love and I decided to grab a few drinks while we wait to meet the band. I unexpectedly met Andrew Allen, had a nice talk and ended up buying his album (which I’m listening to right now). He’s from Vancouver! I’ve got to visit that place one day, I heard it’s beautiful (not just from him). Shortly after Andrew Allen, I quickly met Dia and Meg to sign a poster for my lovely sister. I hate meeting people like that, I feel like I’m a creep. It’s just plain awkward.

Heading back to Philly was not well planned. Spent almost an hour in the snow, waiting for the bus. But luckily the bus stop was right in front of the venue so I ended up chitchatting with the venue owners and some members of Meg&Dia. After an hour, we catch the bus to 69th, ran to catch another bus to Center City, and then missed the C bus. So instead of waiting for god knows how long for the next bus, why not fork out a few bucks to take a taxi home? DONE. Now I’m home and I have no idea what to do with myself. Today was kind of surreal now that I’m thinking about it…

…very spontaneous.

This blog is totally pointless and it’s suppose to get me tired so I can sleep. Seems like it’s working, so good night!

Check out Andrew Allen when you get the chance! In my opinion, he sounds like Andy Grammer.
